It’s been half a month since I entered the <Royal Academy of High Magic>.
During this time, I encountered one of the main heroines, Leah, was harassed by her, saved Victoria from some bullies, and her parents proposed me to be her fiancé.
My school life was quite eventful. Even though I was a secondary character, I experienced an unimaginable sense of fulfillment, which was not something I desired.
Instead, I was busy preparing for the upcoming common event in a month. The common event, <Grade Trials>, is literally like mid-term exams in the previous world.
It consists of three trials for the students:
– A written exam to test intelligence.
– A magic trial to evaluate magical abilities.
– A sword skills assessment.
It is mandatory for students to participate in these three trials.
Although there are more elements than in mid-term exams, in the game, it’s not just about that. This event is like a step to conquer a heroine.
The player must pass the necessary trials for the heroine they want to conquer. Even with low skill levels, the player can pass the trial, but facing the trials with a higher skill level will slightly increase that heroine’s affinity.
For example, for Freya von Winter, an expert in sword skills, one should have a sword skill level of 80 or higher, or if it’s intermediate level, that’s fine.
For the magic prodigy Leah, a minimum of 80 in all four attributes is required, in addition to being able to use intermediate magic in at least one attribute. There are other characters that require surpassing certain levels of multiple statistics to increase their affinity, but I will skip that as it is a lengthy explanation.
What’s important here is that my goal in this event is to get first place in all the trials. If I don’t plan to conquer any heroine, do I really need to get first place in all the trials? Not so fast!
Excellent grades are essential as a Lunaseria member.
My goals are not as noble; I simply aim to stand out in this world. As a man, who doesn’t dream of reaching the top at least once? In this world, maybe I can achieve that goal. Do you understand? This is a unique opportunity. It’s up to me whether I seize it or not.
And the answer is to seize it. Fortunately, in this game, it’s not possible to cheat in that way. No matter how hard you try, it would take too long to increase the necessary statistics to get first place in all the trials. I know from experience; I tried it once.
However, in this world, there are no restrictions like in a game. Depending on my actions, I can even become the overall top rank. So, I have set my goal. Let’s list it clearly and concisely:
- Raise sword skill to 100 and bring it to intermediate level (this is quite easy).
- Increase magic skill in all attributes to 100 and reach intermediate level (this is the most challenging).
- Boost intelligence to 50. This is sufficient for the initial common events but will need at least 80 later.
- Level up for the summer event. It is essential to have at least 30 (preferably 40-50 with the post-exam level up).
These are my plans leading up to the exams and summer. Considering summer is approaching, I would like to further enhance sword and magic skills, but for now, it suffices for the common events.
After engraving in my mind what I must do from now on in my ‘mental notebook,’ I smiled mischievously. It truly is a rewarding world.
The weekend starts tomorrow. I will delve into the dungeon to quickly enhance my sword and magic skills.
