Vila and I arrived at the dungeons of the castle.
There, the sinners’ cells were lined up.
These cells were infused with Vila’s magic, the same demonic queen, making them a place from which any common demon could not escape.
The demons captured previously were calm in their cells.
Surely, they had understood that they could not escape.
Perhaps they had already accepted that they would be executed.
Vila informed the guard of her entrance and then entered the cells.
“We are going to interrogate you. Guard, you may step aside for a moment-“
Ordered Vila to the guard, turning to the demon in the cell.
“There is something I want to ask you. Answer truthfully,” Vila said to the demon.
“And if I don’t answer…? Are you planning to force the answers out of me?”
Vila smiled maliciously.
The bars trembled in her presence…
Suddenly, a flash of lightning emanated from her entire body.
Undoubtedly, her magical power was impressive.
Although Vila probably had no intentions of torturing.
It was more of a warning.
The demon trembled at the threat.
“If you have failed in your mission, you will be executed upon returning to your master, right? Wouldn’t it be wiser to seek protection from the Demon King and speak here?” I intervened.
“That’s right…” sighed the demon.
He had probably already reached a conclusion in his mind.
Surely, he had been pondering over it since he was imprisoned. Hence, my words were merely a support.
And so, the interrogation began.
However, the captured demon cooperated, so everything proceeded smoothly.
“First, let me ask you the name of your master,” Vila said.
“Before I respond, can I be assured that my life will be spared?”
“Yes, I promise on behalf of the Demon King Vilarzord,” affirmed Vila.
“Then…”
The still fearful demon decided to speak.
“My lord is… Lionelzord,” he revealed.
” …!”
Vila’s expression changed noticeably.
“What’s wrong, Vila?”
“That Lionel… is my uncle,” Vila said with a bitter expression.
“Lionelzord, the ‘King of Storms’… is the younger brother of the former Demon King and my uncle. He is known as one of the most powerful individuals in the Demon World.”
