Why is the day before classes start so boring? Even though it’s much better than Monday, still, tomorrow I’ll have to attend pointless classes.
Just thinking about it makes me lazy.
Even though my mind is filled with negative thoughts, today I will also go out to hunt skeletons.
By defeating low-level enemies but stronger than me, the experience I gain is incredible. Without realizing it, I can now defeat several skeletons in the evening without needing tricks. This facilitates the improvement of my magic and fencing skills. I’m excited to see how much I can prepare before that event.
As I vanquished the last skeleton before retiring, my level reached 20.
According to Hermes’s information, the average level of people in this world is between 20 and 30. Although the limit is 100, that’s when I realized that leveling up is really difficult.
This is not a world of games, it’s reality.
The higher your level rises, the further the next level is, and if you overdo it and get hurt, it hurts. If you die, there’s no resurrection or save and load option. In a world like this, it’s understandable that many are cautious and decide to give up on leveling up.
For those who are leveling up in low or mid-level dungeons, going from 20 to 30 is not that easy. For those like me who can do intensive hunting, it’s fine, but for those who share their experience with others in a group, it must be quite exhausting.
However, venturing alone is much more dangerous than in a group. This “bad” dynamic is what has caused the stagnation in this world.
When it becomes real, I didn’t think it would be as difficult as a crappy game. I’m really grateful to have the knowledge of my past life.

In a minute, the defeated skeletons should reappear. Holding my heavy load, I hastily left the room.
“Tomorrow I plan to hunt deeper monsters in the dungeon…” I murmured to myself.
Thanks to the increase in my strength, carrying the load became easier, and I headed briskly towards the adventurers’ headquarters without feeling tired.
I would really prefer to go straight back home, but I already have enough sturdy bones; I will sell all the items found today at the adventurers’ headquarters.
Being from a duke’s household, I have no money problems, but I prefer not to be a burden to my parents. If I can level up in the dungeon, why not earn my own money? It’s more convenient and without restrictions.

I walked directly along a less traveled path.
It seems that sometimes monsters come out of the nearby dungeon, so there aren’t many people living nearby. Basically, you only encounter armed adventurers or students who come to train. Therefore, when the day turns into night, it’s strangely quiet and a bit unsettling. I had just defeated some undead creatures, so I felt especially uneasy.
However, my fear did not materialize, not even ghosts or extravagant monsters appeared.
I heard a peculiar sound…
“…Help!”
“Huh?”
I heard something. It definitely wasn’t just the sound of the wind.
Furthermore, the emotion loaded in that voice gave me a bad feeling.
I stopped and listened intently. Then, I heard more clearly.
“Is anyone there? Can someone help me? Help!”
It was the cry of a girl.
Without hesitation, I sprung into action. I ran towards where the voice was coming from.
I turned around a corner in a zigzag through an alley, and at the end of a set of ruins, there she was.
